CUPP-ekskursio 19.11.2015 08.00

F(k) järjestää ekskursion torstaina 19.11.2015 CUPP:n (Center for Undergroud Physics in Pyhäsalmi) tiloihin. CUPP on yksi harvoista maanalaisista laboratorioista maailmassa. CUPP toimii pohjois euroopan syvimmässä kaivoksessa; jopa 1440m syvyydessä. Tiloja löytyy erilaisten tavoitteiden sekä skaalojen tieteellistä tutkimusta varten.

Luvassa on siis erittäin mielenkiintoinen ekskursio. Ilmoittautuminen alkoi maanantaina 05.10.2015. Ilmoittautua voit fys4:n viereisellä ilmoitustaululla. Ilmoittautuminen on sitovaa, joten mikäli kirjoitat nimesi alle, niin sitoudut maksamaan matkan vaikka et paikalle pääsisikään.

Ekskursiota varten on hyvä varata koko päivä. Tarkemmasta aikataulusta päivitetään kunhan riittävä määrä ihmisiä saadaan kokoon. Ilmoittautumisaikaa on tämän kuun loppuun saakka.

F(k) will organize an ekscursion on thursday 19.11.2015 to the facilities of CUPP (Center for Underground Physics in Pyhäsalmi). CUPP is one of the few underground laboratories in the world. It is located in the deepest, up to 1440m below surface, hard rock mine in Europe. It can provide facilities for scientific experiments in different scope and scale.

So it will be an extremely interesting excursion. Sign up for the excursion began on monday the 05.10.2015. You can sign up on the notification board next to fys4. Sign up is binding, so should you write your name down, be prepared to pay for the trip even if you cannot make it to the trip.

It is good to reserve the whole day for the excursion. A more detailed schedule will be provided later on when we have enough people signed up for the excursion. You have time to sign up till the end of the month.
